Catrine the tap dancer Inspired by the old black and white movies with dancers like Fred Astaire Catrine started tap dancing at the age of 7 studying with many of the local tap teachers in Stockholm at the time. When she and the other five dancers created the dance group The Rhythm Hot Shots, whose specialisation was not only in Lindy Hop but other dances from the same era like tap, she had a good base and knowledge as a tap dancer and continued to develop the style of tap she liked. She studied tap dancers from the 30's and 40's like, except for Fred Astaire, Bill Robinson, Ginger Rogers, Ellenor Powell, Gene Kelly and of course The Nicolas brothers who she later on met and performed with. Catrine has been teaching tap both at workshops around the globe as well as locally wherever she has been living starting in Stockholm back in the 80's, Zurich in the 90's, San Francisco, S:t Maarten, New York and Jönköping. Catrine's love for teaching clearly shows in the result and joy her students show taking her classes. Här kan man se henne sjunga och dansa 'Doin' The Suzie Q https://youtu.be/vWFO-62f32o
